server and such
The server is – “THOR”
The server performs a bunch of functions… local file storage, printing, virtualization host, and all related services on the LAN. It has 500 gigs of redundant RAID10 storage, and 3.4 TB on non redundant storage a boatload of hard drives. All of my music, personal data, software, etc is kept on the redundant disks along with the boot drive, and the non redundant storage is used for copying my DVD collection to the drive for playback on other network devices.
All of the equipment on this page lives in a relay rack in my basement. Total power draw is about 250 watts continuous, and yes, I don’t need to heat the basement in the winter with this stuff running.
